From the Author's Desk:

What is a White  Cube?

White Cube refers to a gallery aesthetic characterized by square or oblong shape, white walls and a light source usually from the ceiling.

This aesthetic was introduced in the early twentieth century in response to the increasing abstraction of modern art.

Inside the White Cube is a collection of art reviews, critiques, essays, trend forecasts and general commentary  pertaining to the South Asian art world - mainly Indian art scene.
